Fictional Memories (and Feature)

Fri Oct 17, 2008, 1:23 PM
I saw this in :icondisturbinglysweet:'s journal and thought it was interesting.

Basically, even if you don't know me very well at all, write a short paragraph (or a long one, or more than one!) with a FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything: good, bad, surreal... as long as it's fictional.

Then put this in your own journal =)

I'm curious to see what you come up with!

Also, a feature:

:iconxiwik: has done an awesome illustration for me, for being the 1000th visitor to his page. Steampunk and Snow White, need I say more? =P

So Sam was passing by my hometown a little while back and we decided to meet up and spend the day. The place of action being my hometown and all it was my responsibility to come up with activities but I wasn't sure what to do, I didn't know if he liked shopping, checking out culture (not to imply that there's abundance of that around) or whatever. But I figured a lunch in town along with a quick tour-sortof-thingy would be a nice start so that's what we did. I showed him a few places, told him about the vibrant student life our town has and so on. Sam seemed really interested (or did a really good job pretending) and was easy to talk to so the first part of the day passed smoothly and was alot of fun. Sam, seeing the river that slithers through town, kept asking if there were any statues or "other manifestations" of mermaids around but that was okay, I like a little eccentricity.

Since the day had passed so nicely, we were totally unprepared for what would happen next...
remember that one time, at bandcamp?

this may only be understood if you watch american comedy.

why, team Emmet of course.
Ooh. Right now the only american comedy I watch is The Office.

Mind if I ask you to explain this to me? =P

Any comment on my art would be massively appreciated =)

...If there were no birds, would we still dream of flying?...

indeed, and I think you will laugh.

In a winter, you and I were on a boat made entirely of blue glass. The heavy gray bodies of fish squirmed inside the translucent layers-- halibut clogged the pipes, atlantic salmon opened and closed their mouths under the bedsheets, trout slid slickly beneath the floorboards.

The sun came up, the sea was uncountable flashing scales. We were also uncountable flashing scales, broiling and grasping and the light was a fisherman's hook.

I may have cried, you may have promised not to tell anyone. We were drawn up through the sky and forgot one another in our new soft bodies, but you never did tell.

(Thank you for the watch, I appreciate it.)
...Why is there an angry emoticon? I did not add that.
