Back and Snow!

Journal Entry: Sat Dec 19, 2009, 8:10 PM
My flight was cancelled because of bad weather, and the flight the next day was delayed for about 5 hours... but finally I'm back from Munich! Despite a lot of aimless waiting around in the airport towards the end, it was a fantastic trip, I had a great time. I'll try to post some of the better photos maybe =P

It's really snowing here... more than I've ever seen before (which is actually not saying much!) -- everything looks beautiful draped in white.

I hope you're all doing well! I'll have to get caught up on deviations and comments over the next few days =)

Off to Germany!

Germany, and an apology

Journal Entry: Thu Nov 19, 2009, 3:58 PM
I haven't been very active recently -- sorry. I will get around to commenting on things and returning comments and replying to comments, I promise. Things are just a bit crazy at the moment =)

Exciting news, though: I'm going to Germany in December! 12th - 18th. So if you know of any cool places to visit, do let me know =P

And further exciting news! The amazing `scarletwave has bought me a sub! I think she deserves lots and lots of love, so go show her some if you can!

How are you all doing? I hope things are going well! (And good luck to all those doing NaNoWriMo )

(I'm trying out journal skins, now that I have a sub! Zombies... a little morbid, I know, but I thought it was appropriate given how busy I've been =P Also, you can never go wrong with zombies. Appropriate for every situation. Next time you're faced with an awkward silence in the middle of a conversation, try out that great panacea: "So... zombies!")

Hard Days

Fri Oct 23, 2009, 3:51 PM
Just a small update, because it's 1am and I don't feel like sleeping yet =P

These few weeks have been really busy... I'm basically in the lab from 9-5 or 10-5, and we've got a lecture from 5-6. I get home about 6.30 every day, and then there's more reading to do and reports to write...

In a word: tiring!

I'm trying to give myself some time every evening to write/draw, but it's hard to concentrate sometimes.

So I did something I very rarely do...

I sort of wrote a poem.

I guess you know by now I'm not a poetry person. But I did it anyway -- or it did me, if you like. We did each other? No, that doesn't sound quite right.

ANYWAY. You might even get to read it! Isn't that exciting? Okay, maybe it isn't.

How are all of you? Tell me stuff, so I don't feel lonely! =P

Last Days of Summer

Mon Sep 21, 2009, 7:19 PM
This is my last week before going back to uni. (Although I suppose some of you will already be back at school/college/uni.)

It's my last year now, which is sort of scary... I guess I've been thinking about my future a little. What I'm going to do with my life and so on. I feel like it's all to be decided now, which I'm sure isn't true.

Anyway, I told myself I need to work a lot harder this year than I've been working so far, which probably means less time to spend on drawing/writing. But I don't think I'll be able to give it up entirely, and I don't think I should -- I need some kind of non-work creative outlet, after all. But I want to apologise in advance if it turns out I'm less active here during this time =)

I'm working on a new portrait, trying to get it finished before I fly back. It's of my favourite movie character ever... Han Solo (you might have guessed this already =P)

So watch this space for that! Meanwhile I hope you're all doing well. Any interesting plans for the future?
